DPR 18-001 Groundwater Protection Areas (Noticed 5/25/18; Comment period closed 8/7/18)
DPR amended section 6000 of Title 3, California Code of Regulations. This action amends the document, “EH03-05 (Est. 08/03) Groundwater Protection Areas” that identifies groundwater protection areas (GWPAs) in California. DPR added new GWPAs to this document. These GWPAs were identified based on pesticide detections. This document is incorporated by reference in the definitions “groundwater protection area”, “leaching groundwater protection areas”, and “runoff groundwater protection areas.” These regulations were filed with the Secretary of State on June 20, 2019, and become effective on January 1, 2020.
