Welcome to the New Homepage for the Department of Pesticide Regulation

DPR is excited to announce the release of its redesigned website, focused on a streamlined user experience, including easy to access information on pest management and our role in fostering sustainable pest management and regulating pesticides. This department-wide effort began in 2023. The website launch marks the department’s achievement of an early milestone in its 2024-2028 Strategic Plan.

What has changed?

  • New organization to center safety and sustainable pest management information and to increase access to the resources and information that website users search for the most – more info on that below!
  • Updated descriptions of the work and programs of the department to protect people and the environment.
  • A new “Get Involved” section to streamline and increase engagement with the public on DPR’s work and initiatives – including information on meetings and events, how to submit public comments and resources for engagement with the department and our partners.
  • New technology to improve searchability, align with modern web standards and increase usability on mobile devices, including translation support for Spanish and other languages through Google Translate (see globe icon at the top right of the website to access other languages).

To help with navigation on the new site, here are some links to frequented DPR content:

  • Under our “Data and Reports” section on “Pesticide Use in California” find links to our Pesticide Use Reporting and SprayDays California.
  • Under our “Data and Reports” section find all information on our Environmental Monitoring programs, and under the “Reports Directory” search by category, year, report type or title to find reports and relevant information.
  • Under our “Pesticide Safety” section learn about how DPR and County Agricultural Commissioners conduct statewide Enforcement of pesticide use laws and regulations or check out information on Worker Health and Safety or the Healthy Schools Act.
  • Under our “Pesticide Safety” OR “Data and Reports” sections also check out our new “Look Up Pesticide Info” to find any relevant information specific to active ingredients at DPR – including risk assessments or reevaluation documents.
  • Under our new “Professional Licensing” section find out specifically How to Apply for a License.

If you are unable to find a resource or information, please contact us for assistance at cdprweb@cdpr.ca.gov.

We will continue to refine our website to meet the needs of all Californians that are interested in or impacted by pest management and pesticide regulation and are including a new blog to provide visibility into our work and to share resources and updates.

More to come!
