Solicitation of Additional Commodities for the Permit and Pesticide Use Reporting Programs
Over the past few years, county staff have requested adding commodities to the permit and pesticide use reporting (PUR) databases. For example, corn salad is in the Department of Pesticide Regulation’s (DPR’s) label database but not on the list of available commodities for the permit and PUR.
The Department is now requesting that county staff submit to DPR a list of commodities they would like to be added to the approved list for the permit and PUR programs. The additional commodities should be ones that represent substantial acreage planted and are listed on product labels. The Department will review the requests and assess any impact to existing DPR databases.
Our goal is to have an updated list of commodity codes available for the 2006 permitting year. With this in mind, please submit your list by June 1, 2005. Your request can be submitted by mail (see letterhead address) or e-mail to Ms. Linda Lichtenberger, of my staff, at llichtenberger@cdpr.ca.gov.
If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Lichtenberger by phone at (916) 445-4127. Thank you for your support of these county/state programs.
Sincerely,
