

2007 Rice Pesticides Program
Beginning this year, the Department of Pesticide Regulation´s recommended Rice Pesticide Permit Conditions for 2007 can now be found in the Pesticide Use Enforcement Program Standards Compendium; Volume III – Restricted Materials and Permitting. The 2007 permit conditions remain substantially the same as last year and include:
- Appendix C.1 – General Drift Minimization
- Appendix C.7 – Rice Pesticides
- Subsection C.7.1 – Instructions to County Agricultural Commissioners on Rice Pesticide Permit Issuance
- Subsection C.7.2 – General Water-Holding
- Subsection C.7.3 – Methyl Parathion (Buffer Zone, Water Management)
- Subsection C.7.4 – Molinate (Water Management, Worker Safety)
- Subsection C.7.5 – Phenoxy/Dicamba Herbicides (Drift Minimization)
- Subsection C.7.6 – Thiobencarb (Drift Minimization, Water Management)
- Subsection C.7.7 – Malathion (Water Management)

On March 15, 2007, the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board approved Resolution R5-2007-0018 requiring continued management practices for rice pesticides. Download the Resolution from: www.waterboards.ca.gov/centralvalley/board_decisions/adopted_orders/index.shtml
