These amended regulations became operative May 27, 2004.

This regulatory action replaces the current pesticide management zones with a new system that identifies areas susceptible to ground water contamination based on soil type and depth to ground water.

DPR has taken the following actions to sections within the Regulations:

  • Repealed sections: 6486.1 to 6486.5, 6486.8, 6557, 6570, 6802

  • Adopted sections: 6487.1 to 6487.5, 6609
  • Amended and renumbered section 6486.6 to 6457
