Director’s Decision on an Appeal of a County Agricultural Commissioner Decision (Docket No. 172)

The Director’s decision on Mr. George Green’s (Dixon Aviation) appeal of the civil penalty levied by the Solano County Agricultural Commissioner is enclosed. The Hearing Officer concurred with the Commissioner’s decision to levy a $2,000 civil penalty for violation of the Food and Agricultural Code section 12973. Because Mr. Green failed to appear at the county hearing scheduled for his appeal of the Commissioner’s action, he is not eligible to appeal the Commissioner’s decision to the Director. The Director denied Mr. Green’s appeal of the civil penalty levied by the Commissioner for violation of Food and Agricultural Code section 12973.
