Interim Enforcement Policy on the Use of Glove Liners
The Federal Worker Protection Standard has been revised allowing the use of separable glove liners under certain conditions and allowing pilots to enter or leave aircraft used to apply pesticides without wearing gloves unless required by labeling.
The Department of Pesticide Regulation will be revising Title 3, California Code Regulation section 6738(c)(1) and section 6738(c)(2) to reflect these changes. These changes were made to make the use of chemical-resistant gloves more comfortable thereby increasing the likelihood employees would wear them as appropriate while maintaining the required level of protection.
Please consult the enclosure, Interim Enforcement Policy-Gloves.
