New Instructions for Processing CalEPA Complaints
DPR is providing the following information to the County Agricultural Commissioners regarding a new process for receiving complaints from the CalEPA Complaint System and submitting findings.
- When a complaint in your county is submitted to the CalEPA Complaint System, you and your Pesticide Use Enforcement Deputy will receive an email from the CalEPA Complaint System. The email contains a .pdf attachment of the complaint and a link to the External Partner Portal where you can access this, and all other complaints referred to your office.
- On completion of the investigation, your office will need to return to the External Partner Portal and submit your findings. DPR will be automatically notified when the findings are submitted.
- The complaint will be closed by DPR. The CalEPA Complaint System will send a closure email to the complainant.
Currently, only the Commissioner and Deputy will receive complaint notification emails. Through the External Partner Portal you can add, remove, or change who receives the initial email notifications. Attached is a sample of the complaint referral email and detailed instructions for submitting findings.
These changes will be effective on June 1, 2023.
If you have any technical issues with the complaint system, please contact: Hasti Javid.
If you have any questions, please contact the Enforcement Branch Liaison assigned to your county.
Sincerely,
