Nominations for Integrated Pest Management Innovator Awards – Due March 31

Are you aware of a group in your county that uses innovative, reduced-risk pest management practices and takes a leadership role in promoting these practices? The Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) is looking for groups based in California that deserve recognition for their innovative approaches toward pest management. DPR recognizes these groups with Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Innovator Awards for their skill and their willingness to share information about new pest management practices. Recognition is given to both agricultural and nonagricultural groups. This year’s awards ceremony will be held in Sacramento during October.

Many past awards resulted from nominations submitted by agricultural commissioners or their staff. Please post the enclosed poster to solicit IPM Innovator nominations from your staff and visitors to your office.

Nominations must be received by March 31, 2005. Lengthy nomination write-ups are not necessary as we will obtain detailed information from the nominated groups themselves.
