Structural Regulatory Training – Basic Level, Santa Ana
The Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) and the Structural Pest Control Board (SPCB) is providing basic level Structural Regulatory Training in Southern California in September. This Basic Structural Regulatory Training is for new CAC staff who conduct structural pest control inspections or investigations. Space is limited to 85 approved attendees with priority given to staff who are new to the structural program.
Training Dates, Times and Locations:
Training is from 7:45 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday; then on Wednesday – Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Classroom Training: September 27-29, 2022 DoubleTree Hotel, 201 E. MacArthur Blvd, Santa Ana, CA 92707 Registration begins at 7:45 a.m. on September 27, 2022.
- Field Demonstrations: September 27-28, 2022 (afternoon) University of California Agricultural and Natural Resources South Coast Research and Extension Center, 7601 Irvine Blvd. Irvine, CA 92618

Hotel Reservation:
Hotel room reservation deadline is Monday, September 12, 2022. The hotel room rate is $120.00/night plus applicable taxes at the DoubleTree by Hilton Santa Ana-Orange County Airport, Santa Ana, CA, 92707. Reservations for the hotel can be made here.
No Reimbursement:
DPR will not reimburse for lodging, meals, tolls, mileage, etc. However, counties not able to send staff to the training due to financial hardship are encouraged to contact our structural liaison, Peggy Byerly at 916-603-7750 or at Peggy.Byerly@cdpr.ca.gov.

Training Preparation for Participants:
We encourage all attendees to bring a clipboard for the demo mock inspections. It is also recommended to bring your county CalPEATS tablets to this training. If you do not have a tablet, the printed copies in the binder will suffice for the purposes of the training.
We highly recommended that participants review the following before this training:
- Volume 4, Inspection Procedures Manual Chapters 7, 8, and 10
- Current registered labeling for Vikane (EPA # 1015-78) and Zythor (EPA # 81824-1)
