Training Course – Restricted Materials and Permitting

The Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) will be providing a training/refresher course on restricted materials and permitting. The course is for County Agricultural Commissioner (CAC) inspectors, biologists, and deputies at eight locations statewide. There is no fee for this course.

Topics include overview of Compendium Volume 3 Restricted Materials and Permitting, CEQA background and functional equivalency, defining agricultural and non-agricultural, overview of issuing or denying a permit, permit evaluations and hazard identification, permit appeals, and much more.

Training session is 9:00am – 2:45pm (check-in begins at 8:30am)

Please register via email at least 2 weeks before the training date to ensure sufficient supplies and seating. Send training nominations, including preferred location and staff names to Ms. Monica DeAnda, Enforcement Branch, at Monica.DeAnda@cdpr.ca.gov. Within one week of receipt, we will confirm your registration. If you have questions, contact Ms. DeAnda at 916-445-2277.

All attendees will need to bring their own copy of the current Pesticide Use Enforcement Program Standards Compendium Volume 3, Restricted Materials and Permitting. Also, if you wish, you may submit specific questions to Ms. DeAnda in advance of the training. Continuing education (CE) credits are being requested. A copy of the agenda is enclosed.
