Update to Compendium Volume 4 – Inspection Procedures

This letter announces the availability of updates to Volume 4, Inspection Procedures, part of the Pesticide Use Enforcement Program Standards Compendium. This update incorporates guidance for pesticide use around schoolsites to assist in implementing Title 3 of the California Code of Regulations (CCR, sections 6690-6692) for applicable inspections.

  • Adds item schoolsites, page 106.1 providing guidance on compliance with CCR 6691 for pesticide use near schoolsites
• Chapter 6, Field Fumigation Use Monitoring Inspection Report
  • Adds item 42, replacing blank page 130, providing guidance on compliance with CCR 6691 for pesticide use near schoolsites
• Chapter 9, Pest Control Headquarters Inspection Report
  • Adds item 37, page 185.1 providing guidance on compliance with CCR 6692 for annual notification of pesticide use near schoolsites

The updated sections are enclosed and will also be available online at the Pesticide Use Enforcement Program Standards Compendium Volume 4, Inspection Procedures (ca.gov). Please add these pages to the manual. These additions will also be added to the electronic CalPEATS system. Re-sync iPads and other mobile devices running CalPEATS to ensure that the updated inspection forms are available.
