Update to Volume 4, Inspection Procedures, Pesticide Use Enforcement Program Standards Compendium

This letter announces the availability of, and summarizes updates to, Volume 4, Inspection Procedures, of the Pesticide Use Enforcement Program Standards Compendium. The only update at this time is inclusion of the January 2010 revised inspection forms into Appendix 8, Inspection Forms. The update includes the following:

1. Table of Contents – Added Appendix 8, Inspection Forms
2. Pages 355 through 365 – Appendix 8, Inspection Forms

To print the revised portion of the manual, print the enclosures. It is recommended the sections be printed back-to-back. Replace the table of contents and add the new inspection forms. The entire manual (including the September and December 2009 revisions) is available at www.cdpr.ca.gov/docs/enforce/compend/vol_4/inspect_procedures.htm.

A CD containing Volume 4 of the compendium will be sent to each county in January 2010.

The revised inspection forms will be distributed to counties in early December 2009. Inspections starting on January 1, 2010 must use the new forms; inspections written on previous forms are not acceptable and will be returned to the counties.

At that time, please also discontinue use of the interim checklist. All 2009 inspections should be sent to the Enforcement Branch no later than February 15, 2010.
