Updated Pesticide Regulatory Activities Monthly Report Instructions

This enforcement letter supercedes previous enforcement letters including, but not limited to, enforcement letters ENF 2000-023, ENF 96-034, and ENF 96-033 regarding instructions for completing and submitting the Pesticide Regulatory Activities Monthly Report (PRAMR).

These instructions were updated to reflect the changes to the various inspection forms, which became effective July 1, 2003.

Major changes include:

1. Addition of a column to record “Number of Hours” for Pesticide Preapplication Site Inspections (Section I of the PRAMR), for Restricted Material Permit issuance/denial, and Notice of Intent review/denial (Section IV of the PRAMR).
2. Addition of an “Application Method” table (Section I) to record various application methods reported for Pesticide Use Monitoring and Field Fumigation Monitoring Inspections.
3. Additional lines under Section III “Structural Pest Control Inspections” to record application and mix load inspections separately for Branch 2 and 3.
4. Modification of the “Private Applicator” portion of Section VI “License/Certificate/Registration/ID Number” to record both the number of certifications issued (including re-certifications) and number of exams given (including exams in which applicants failed).
5. Expanded explanation of Compliance Actions and Enforcement Actions.
6. Explanation about multi-year operator identification number forms.

PRAMR forms are only available electronically from the Department of Pesticide Regulation. A hard copy is enclosed that may be used for photocopying purposes.

There is no scheduled training on the updated PRAMR as yet, due to budget constraints. Please direct your questions in writing to your senior pesticide use specialist.
