Updates to Volume 3, Restricted Materials and Permitting, Pesticide Use Enforcement Program Standards Compendium
The Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) has finalized updates to Volume 3, Restricted Materials and Permitting, one of eight volumes from the Pesticide Use Enforcement Program Standards Compendium. A listing of updates to the manual is enclosed.
Changes to Restricted Materials and Permitting, in the form of new and updated procedures, policies, or interpretations, will be issued in the form of updates to the Compendium. All revisions will be available on-line. No printed copies will be distributed.
The changes to this update include:
- Chapter 6, Permit Requirements:
Added permit information on mandated governmental programs - Appendix B, California Restricted Materials Requirements:
Added Sodium Tetrathiocarbonate (Enzone) to the listing - Appendix C.2, Recommended Permit Conditions for 1,3-Dichloropropene Pesticides (Fumigant):
Updated information on township caps, processing requests to use 1,3-D, buffer zones, and application factors in the San Joaquin Valley ozone nonattainment area - Appendix E, Understanding California’s Definitions of Agricultural Use and Non Agricultural Use Pest Control:
Added additional examples of non-production agricultural uses
The issue of Volatile Organic Compounds will be covered in a separate update.
