Updates to Volume 3, Restricted Materials and Permitting, Pesticide Use Enforcement Program Standards Compendium
This letter announces the availability of, and summarizes updates to, Volume 3, Restricted Materials and Permitting, of the Pesticide Use Enforcement Program Standards Compendium. Please have your staff begin using these updates as soon as possible.
The following updates are enclosed and are also available online at www.cdpr.ca.gov/docs/enforce/compend/vol_3/rstrct_mat.htm. It is recommended the sections be printed back-to-back, where applicable. Remove the old sections from the manual and insert the new sections:
- Restricted Materials and Permitting Updates (1 page)
- Replacement Page Instructions
- Table of Contents (2 pages)
- Chapter 1, California’s Restricted Materials Permit Program (3 pages)
- Changed link to California Restricted Materials Requirements, as this form has been transferred to the Enforcement Branch.
- Appendix A, Glossary (5 pages)
- Revised definition of Sensitive site
- Appendix B, California Restricted Materials Requirements (1 page)
- Under the section California Restricted Materials, for the pesticide Dicamba (Banvel) — removed Diglycolamine salt of 3,6-dichloro-o-anisic acid to be consistent with 3CCR section 6400; and
- Form number changed to reflect transfer of the form to the Enforcement Branch (PR-ENF-013a).
- Appendix C, Department of Pesticide Regulation Recommended Permit Conditions (149 pages)
- Appendix C.2, Recommended Permit Conditions for Rice Pesticides
- Updated two Table of Contents (pages C-1 and C-4);
- Page C-6, deleted the last block, Reporting. The block Reporting has been moved to page C-13.2 and renamed “Completed” Water- holding Enforcement Actions to CVRWQCB;
- Page C-9, title correction only; and
- Added Appendix C.2.1.1, Data Reporting Guidelines for the Rice Pesticide Program (added after page C-13).
- Appendix C.7, Soil Fumigation
- Updated two Table of Contents (pages C-1 and C-139); and
- Added Part 7.4.3, Metam-Potassium and Metam-Sodium Sprinkler 4:00 a.m. Start Method.
- Appendix C.2, Recommended Permit Conditions for Rice Pesticides
- Appendix E, Understanding California’s Definitions of Agricultural Use and Non Agricultural Use Pest Control (6 pages)
- Minor change on page E-6 only; removed the phrase “of product” from Ranchette pasture.
- Appendix F, Additional Web Resources (1 page)
- Changed link to California Restricted Materials Requirements.
