Organizational Chart
To better understand how we are organized, please review the following organizational chart.
Request a Public Record
A public record is “any writing containing information relating to the conduct of the public’s business prepared, owned, used, or retained by any state or local agency regardless of physical form or characteristics.”
How to Submit a Request
If possible, identify the dates, subjects, titles, and authors of the records requested so that we can help you more quickly. If needed, DPR staff can help you focus your request by describing the type of records that we have and providing other suggestions for simplifying access.
We’re dedicated to ensuring that our public records are accessible to everyone. If you require any accommodations or assistance to access this information, please let us know. We’re committed to providing support and ensuring equitable access for all our community members.
DPR responds to requests for public records through NextRequest.
Make a Request Online
NextRequest allows the public to submit a request, correspond with department staff, and track requests online.
Request Processing Time
DPR will determine whether it has disclosable records within 10 days from receipt of a request. If disclosable records exist, DPR will make every effort to provide responsive non-exempt records within a reasonable timeframe; however, response times will vary depending on the types and volume of records requested and the scope or timeframe of the request.
