Continuing Education
What is Continuing Education?
Continuing education (CE) is required by the California Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) for active licenses and certifications.
Licensed and certified pesticide applicators must complete a minimum number of CE hours from DPR-approved CE Courses focused on pesticides or pest management within each valid two-year license or certificate period to renew.
License and certificate holders must keep records of attendance hours.

CE Course Sponsors
CE sponsors must submit a $45 fee, the appropriate CE approval request application, and all required application materials. DPR must approve all courses before they take place. Additional fees are not required for course dates and locations when the DPR-approved agenda is the same. Sponsors may request additional dates using the “Continuing Education Additional Course Date Request” form.
