California Pesticide Electronic Submission Tracking (CalPEST)

The Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) is anticipating the launch of the California Pesticide Electronic Submission Tracking (CalPEST) system to occur in Fall 2024. CalPEST is a web-based software application designed to streamline DPR’s pesticide product registration process. CalPEST will serve as a centralized hub, offering a convenient, one-stop solution for all aspects of the registration process, including amendments, renewals, inactivation, and other activities.

For registrants: CalPEST will integrate account administration, submission management, data and document upload options, electronic payment, and more. Additionally, users will be able to view their submission status in real-time.

For DPR: CalPEST will streamline the pesticide registration process as a comprehensive workload management system for DPR staff.

For the public: CalPEST will revamp search functionalities for pesticide products, chemicals, and scientific studies to improve access to information.
