2025 Pesticide Registration and Renewal Fee Determination

The California Food and Agricultural Code (FAC) section 12812(c) mandates that the Department of Pesticide Regulation’s (DPR) registration program fee structure shall be set so that the total revenue collected each fiscal year is sufficient to support the expenditure levels of the registration program. The fees include annual product license renewal and late payment fees, product registration fees, and fees for amendments to registered products. In accordance with FAC section 12812(f), DPR is required to notify pesticide registrants of possible fee increases determined necessary to sufficiently meet expenditure levels of the registration program by January 31 of the year of increase. DPR must complete an annual review of the proposed budget and projected revenues to determine whether any fee adjustments are needed. DPR intends to annually communicate this determination to stakeholders through a California Notice to Stakeholders.
