Company Name Changes and Voluntary Cancellations of Pesticide Product Registrations

The Department of Pesticide Regulation’s (DPR’s) Pesticide Registration Branch (PRB) is responsible for evaluating and registering all pesticide products prior to their sale and use in California. Pesticide registration in California is complex and requires many steps. PRB is evaluating which processes can be effectively streamlined to reduce overall registration processing timeframes. Two processes that have been identified are company name changes and voluntary cancellations. The revised procedures for these two processes will reduce paperwork and processing timeframes for registrants and PRB.
