Expediting of Certain Disinfectant Products Ending

In response to SARS-CoV-2, the novel coronavirus that causes COVID-19, the Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) began expediting applications for registration of disinfectant products that appear on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (U.S. EPA) List N: Disinfectants for Use against SARS-CoV-2 (see California Notice 2020-03). DPR also began expediting applications for registration of alternate brand name and supplemental distributor products associated with products on U.S. EPA’s List N. Since April 2020, DPR has expedited more than 700 applications for registration and amendment of disinfectant products on List N.
