SUBJECT:

COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF PESTICIDE REGULATION, CALIFORNIA AGRICULTURAL COMMISSIONERS AND SEALERS ASSOCIATION, AND THE UNITED STATES ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY, REGION IX

Attached is the new cooperative agreement between the Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR), the California Agricultural Commissioners and Sealers Association (CACASA), and the United States Environmental Protection Agency, Region 9 (U.S. EPA). This agreement became effective on March 27, 2001, and will remain in effect for twelve months.

Revisions have been made to the Priority Investigation Effects Criteria. Due to these revisions, this agreement will be evaluated in twelve months to determine its impact on workload. The previous agreement was in effect for five years. Please make this information available to your staff so they can apply the new revisions to future priority pesticide episodes.

If you have any questions, please contact your Senior Pesticide Use Specialist liaison.

Sincerely,
