CHANGES TO TITLE 3, CALIFORNIA CODE OF REGULATIONS, GROUND WATER PROTECTION REGULATIONS |

Enclosed for your information are the revisions to the ground water protection regulations which appear in a number of sections of Title 3, California Code of Regulations (Regulations) prepared by the Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR). These amended regulations became operative May 27, 2004. This regulatory action replaces the current pesticide management zones with a new system that identifies areas susceptible to ground water contamination based on soil type and depth to ground water. DPR has taken the following actions to sections within the Regulations:
Enforcement Letter ENF 03-20 provided the most recent version of the Regulations section of your Enforcement Manual. Please add the enclosed final text to your Enforcement Manual. Revised updated pages for your Enforcement Manual will be sent at a later date. This is a public document that can be photocopied. Regulations can be found on DPR´s Web site at www.cdpr.ca.gov/docs/legbills/calcode/chapter_.htm. If you have any questions, please contact the Enforcement Branch Liaison assigned to your county. |
