Identifying Potential Pesticide Contaminants
Back to Groundwater Protection Program
Back to Law
DPR requires environmental fate and chemistry data for all agricultural pesticides. These data are used to identify and sample for pesticides with the greatest chance to contaminate groundwater.
-
Pesticide Chemistry Data
Pesticide chemistry data provided by registrants of agricultural pesticides and used by DPR to identify potential groundwater contaminants and fulfill mandated reporting requirements. -
Potential
pesticide contaminants - regulations
Regulations adopted by DPR to identify pesticides that have the potential to pollute groundwater based on their chemical properties and labeled uses. - Sampling
for potential pesticide contaminants
DPR samples for agricultural pesticides identified as potential contaminants to determine if their legal use may contaminate groundwater and to better understand their fate and behavior in the environment.
